After seeing the work I made at Almost Perfect, Tokyo, I was asked to create a book cover for the English translation of the Kamogawa Food Detectives series. It proved a difficult project as the cat of my art director died halfway during the making of this book cover. We tried to honour Mimi's memory by merging her features in the cat on the cover. Rest in peace, Mimi.
